The Golden Rule

12 ‘In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.

A place to be….

This is the Lord’s day; a day when we as disciples of Jesus meet together in community and celebrate the inauguration of the Kingdom of God in Jesus Christ. Jesus, the One who saves us from meeting our needs our own way and at the expense of others; Christ the One anointed by God to bring  all the promises of God to a homeless, Edenless humanity in desperate need of a place to be the people who our Creator Redeemer made us to be. This is the most important of responsibilities: to be the community that provides for each other the experience of the Reign of God and to provide a place for those who do not know Jesus as Saviour and Lord the One who is the material expression of His rule of love. Let today be the day that we as disciples of Jesus take His words seriously and in everything we do; ‘…do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.

Prayer: Loving God and Father this is the day that we your people meet. We pray that we might live this day and everyday as the faithful community of Jesus your Son through the power of your indwelling Holy Spirit and for your glory.  Amen
